Staunton proposes to contribute $15 million to new hospital, to be repaid from sale of land, future tax revenues.

Virginia Governor Tim Kaine announced in December 2008 that the state would proceed with construction of the new Western State Hospital on land owned by the City of Staunton adjacent to the existing site.
