Matthew Sensabaugh was recently re-certified as an ISA Certified Arborist.
ISA is the International Society of Arboriculture and their certification program is rigorous. Matt has been a certified Arborist since 2006.
Also Matt & Assistant Horticulturist- Terry Bonner, were recently re-certified by Virginia Department of Agricultural & Consumer Services as licensed Pesticide Applicators. Their certifications last through the next 2 years.

Staunton's Forestry Efforts Recognized With Tree City
USA Award

| Staunton has been a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day
Foundation for 14 years. This is an award given by the National
Arbor Day Foundation that recognizes municipalities with active tree
care and replacement programs. The city was also honored with another
Tree City USA Growth Award for progress in its community forestry
campaign, totaling 3 awards. The Growth Award was created to recognize
environmental improvement and higher levels of tree care in Tree City
USA communities The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service. |
