City Manager Declares Local Emergency Ahead of Weekend Winter Storm

In anticipation of the approaching, significant winter storm, Staunton City Manager Leslie Beauregard has declared a local emergency, effective immediately.

Winter Storm Preps & Parking Restrictions

The City of Staunton is preparing for a winter storm forecasted to begin Saturday, Jan. 24, and continue into Sunday night. Crews are pre-treating roads and sidewalks, and temporary downtown parking restrictions will be in place to support snow removal efforts.

DEQ: Drought Warning Advisory Issued

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has issued a drought warning advisory the City of Staunton and the surrounding Shenandoah Drought Evaluation Region.
