Household Hazardous Waste Day 2026: Saturday, Sept. 12 from 8:30 to Noon at Waynesboro Facilities Shop

Residents of Staunton are invited to bring household hazardous waste materials to the City of Waynesboro Facilities Shop (900 Essex Ave., Waynesboro, 22980) for proper disposal and recycling on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

Composting & Plastic Recycling Updates: Less to the Landfill

The city announced two significant upgrades to the Staunton Recycling Center: dramatically expanded access to food scrap composting and a new co-mingled plastics recycling drop-off system.
