Introduction: Staunton’s African American Heritage Festival (AAHF) is celebrating its 31st year September 21-22, 2019 at Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, Virginia!

This annual celebration of black culture and history is the oldest of its kind in the Shenandoah Valley.

The AAHF will include live music, cultural dancing, entertainment, a variety of foods, crafts from local and regional artisans, and other family-friendly activities such as face painting, health screenings and community resources. All events are free and fully handicapped accessible. Check out this event on Facebook!

The AAHF is hosted by a non-profit, volunteer group. It is sponsored by the City of Staunton, Staunton Parks & Recreation, and Staunton's Tourism Department.
