Veterans Day City Schedule Changes

Oct. 29, 2025 – The schedules for City of Staunton offices and facilities will be modified in observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Veterans Day Schedule Changes (1)Trash Collection

Residential: Trash regularly scheduled for pick up on Tuesday, Nov. 11, will be collected on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Downtown Central Business District (CBD): CBD customers will receive trash collection on Wednesday, Nov. 12, with normal pick up the remaining days of the week.

Recycling Center Hours
The Recycling Center will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11, and will reopen with regular hours on Thursday, Nov. 13.

Library Hours
The Staunton Public Library will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11, and will return to its normal schedule on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The outdoor book drop will be open for returns, and digital books and other online resources are available 24/7 at www.StauntonLibrary.org.

Administrative Office Hours
The City of Staunton’s administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
