March 27, 2026 – The City of Staunton is bringing back its popular Shop & Dine Out in Downtown program for its seventh season, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy an expanded outdoor experience all weekend long, beginning Friday, April 3.
Beverley Street will be closed to vehicles from Lewis Street to Market Street every weekend beginning Friday at 4 p.m. until Monday at 7:30 a.m. through Nov. 2. Cross streets will remain open to traffic. On certain holiday weekends (including Juneteenth and Independence Day) Shop & Dine Out will begin on Thursday evening (June 18 and July 2, respectively) and for Monday holidays (Memorial Day, May 25 and Labor Day, Sept. 7), closures will be extended through Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Special events may also require adjustments to the regular schedule. Changes will be announced on the city’s newsroom webpage.
