The Department of Human Resources provides shared, quality services to the City of Staunton and Staunton City Schools by administering a comprehensive program with a focus on attracting, retaining and motivating a high quality, diverse workforce.

With approximately 430 city and 570 school, full and part-time/seasonal employees, the HR department is responsible for benefits, personnel records, personnel policy and development, classification and compensation, training and development, employee relations, recruitment, employee recognition, and workers compensation.

You can use our new on-line system to browse available job postings, easily complete and update an application, apply for one or more positions, attach supporting documentation, and receive confirmation emails for each step in the process. NOTE: If you do not have access to a computer, you may stop by the Staunton City School Board Office (Central Office; 116 West Beverley St., 2nd Floor) and use the computer kiosk to complete your online application.
