Welcome to the Staunton Public Library
The Staunton Public Library is located at the intersection of Churchville Avenue and North Augusta Street. City transit, particularly the North Loop Trolley, makes regular stops near the Library Monday through Friday.
After Library hours, you may return materials in the outdoor book drop, located near the Library’s entrance.
The following items will not be accepted in the drop box:
- Rosetta Stone materials
- Nature backpacks
Talking Book Center
The Staunton Talking Book Center is a free public library service to area citizens who are unable to read standard print material. It is a sub-regional library of the National Library Service for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NLS).
Friends of the Staunton Library
The Friends of the Staunton Library is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides volunteer support, accepts book donations, and raises funds that enhance the programming, technology and collections of the Staunton Public Library.
Historic Staunton Yearbooks Now Online
The Staunton Public Library has added 46 digitized local yearbooks to its collection, now available online free of charge. View yearbooks from 1977 and before.

Library Book Sale Begins April 17
The Friends of the Staunton Library will kick off its annual fundraiser for the Staunton Public Library on Tuesday, April 17. Proceeds fund the library's operations.

Art Professor Offers Course for Visual Artists at Library
The Staunton Public Library has partnered with John Ros, an artist, art curator and professor, to host a professional practice course for visual artists at 6 p.m., March 14 at the Library.
