Welcome to the Staunton Public Library
The Staunton Public Library is located at the intersection of Churchville Avenue and North Augusta Street. City transit, particularly the North Loop Trolley, makes regular stops near the Library Monday through Friday.
After Library hours, you may return materials in the outdoor book drop, located near the Library’s entrance.
The following items will not be accepted in the drop box:
- Rosetta Stone materials
- Nature backpacks
Talking Book Center
The Staunton Talking Book Center is a free public library service to area citizens who are unable to read standard print material. It is a sub-regional library of the National Library Service for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NLS).
Library Announces Changes to Eclipse Activities
The Staunton Public Library is making some changes to its Solar Eclipse Viewing Party, to better accommodate the anticipated participation in the event.

Solar Eclipse Viewing Party at the Library
The Staunton Public Library will host a viewing party for the solar eclipse at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21. Special glasses provided. Viewing of the eclipse is weather dependent.
