Welcome to the Staunton Public Library
The Staunton Public Library is located at the intersection of Churchville Avenue and North Augusta Street. City transit, particularly the North Loop Trolley, makes regular stops near the Library Monday through Friday.
After Library hours, you may return materials in the outdoor book drop, located near the Library’s entrance.
The following items will not be accepted in the drop box:
- Rosetta Stone materials
- Nature backpacks
- Music equipment
Talking Book Center
The Staunton Talking Book Center is a free public library service to area citizens who are unable to read standard print material. It is a sub-regional library of the National Library Service for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NLS).
Friends of the Staunton Library
The Friends of the Staunton Library is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides volunteer support, accepts book donations, and raises funds that enhance the programming, technology and collections of the Staunton Public Library.
Erase Your Fines with an Act of Kindness
Through Jan. 4, erase your overdue fines at the library with a donation of canned or boxed goods for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank to help local families in need.

Talking Book Center to Host Celebration of National Award
Staunton’s Talking Book Center will host a reception to celebrate its recently received national award from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, June 20 at the Staunton Public Library.
