The City maintains an 18-hole, par 71 municipal golf course in Gypsy Hill Park that is open to members as well as nonmembers year round. The course boasts the most affordable rates in the Shenandoah Valley.
Facilities include a golf pavilion, a fully stocked golf shop, cart rentals, private golf lessons, instructional clinics in the summer and a full tournament schedule.

FEES
We welcome all visitors to play at Gypsy Hill golf course:
- 18 hole cart fee: $15
- 18 hole green fee: $15 Monday through Thursday, $20 Friday through Sunday
- 9 hole cart fee (1-7, 13&14): $10
- 9 hole green fee (1-7, 13&14): $10
- Monday through Thursday after 2 p.m.: $20 includes cart and green fee or $10 green fee only
- Monday through Thursday after 5 p.m.: $15 includes cart and green fee or $10 green fee only
- Friday through Sunday after 2 p.m.: $25 includes cart and green fee
- VSGA rate Monday through Thursday after 10 a.m. and Friday through Sunday after 12 p.m.: only 4 plays annually $25
Membership Rates
- Adult member fee: $450
- All-inclusive member plan: $1400
- Junior member fee (17 and under): $100
- Cart Plan: $950
Golf Pro
Wes Allred is the pro at Gypsy Hill Golf Club. In August of 1997, he lowered the course record to 61. The 10-under-par performance featured 10 birdies and no bogeys, playing from the blue tees. The previous record of 63 was set in 1975 by N. L. Deaver, playing from the white tees.
Golf Pro Lesson Rates
- Adult one-hour lesson: $50
- Senior one-hour lesson: $40
- Youth one-hour lesson: $25
