The City is a member of the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (SAWMPO).  This organization provides technical and policy-related assistance on transportation planning maps. The Central Shenandoah  Planning  District Commission (CSPDC) administers and provides staff support to the SAWMPO.
