Recycling guideHow it works

  1. Prepare recyclable materials using the Recycling Guide. Please note that we will be accepting glass. It is not getting recycled; however, it is diverted from the landfill.
  2. Bring sorted and cleaned recyclables to the Recycling Center.
  3. Put recyclables into the appropriate bins.
  4. Aluminum is now separated from other metals - this helps increase the value of recyclables and keep the recycling program strong and sustainable.
  5. Feel great about helping the environment!

Please use the Recycling Guide to learn how to prepare your recycling to be dropped off.

Plastic Recycling Tips:

  • Sort #1 and #2 plastics separately.
  • All plastic must be rinsed and clean.
  • #1 plastic can be clear and any shape, OR green-tinted beverage bottles only. All caps must be removed, but the labels can be left on.  Opaque #1 plastic  cannot be accepted.
  • #2 plastic can be any color. All caps must be removed, but the labels can be left on.
  • The city does not collect #4 or #5 plastic items.
