State delegates and senators are elected to the Virginia General Assembly. State representatives include:
- Delegate Ellen H. McLaughlin represents the 36th House District.
- Senator Christopher T. Head represents the 3rd Senate District.
U.S. Congress
- Congressman Ben Cline represents Virginia’s Sixth District in the U.S. House of Representatives which include Staunton and six other cities as well as 12 counties.
- Senator Mark Warner and Senator Tim Kaine represent the Commonwealth of Virginia in the U.S. Senate.
